I’ve had these ink drawings, (drawn by a dear friend), for over twenty years.
Unfortunately, the frames and mats, were ho-hum and dated.
So I took them apart, lightly sanded the frames, then painted them with some 97 cent matte black spray paint from Walmart.
Once dry, I lightly sanded them again to “distress” them.
Then I took about $1 worth of burlap and hot glued it to the mats.
(I am terrible about taking step by step photos. Obviously.)
They turned out even better than I expected.
What do you think?
Still following,
Elizabeth
