When autumn begins with gray skies and rain
and then suddenly a day comes when it’s all golden and sunny
and the sky is cornflower blue
sometimes on a day like that
the best thing to do is to don your favorite tutu
and wave bye-bye to the city
and run away to the country
with the llamas and the sheep and the goats
and the chickens and the turkeys
and do a little twirl in your tutu
there in the autumn sun

Just surfing early this morning and came
ReplyDeleteacross your sweet blog. This is one of the
sweetest posts I have read in a while. And
this little girl (grandchild?) is so very
precious, especially in that tutu! Thanks
for making my day!
So sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the tutu - think the llamas liked it, too!

Oh, my goodness- do I ever need a hot pink tutu just like that, to twirl in praise to my glorious Maker! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, for reminding me to look for Him...
I absolutely loved this post... whimsical beauty
ReplyDeleteWhat's not to love??
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are so fun! Thanks for the smile.
ReplyDeleteWonderfully poetic...beautiful photos! Great message as well!
ReplyDeleteOh my.... I LOVE THIS! I'm so glad her mommy let her wear the tutu. That made the llama day a double adventure. Oh, how I love little children. Why is it we adults never wear our favorite *tutus* and whirl in the wind? Bet we'd feel better if we did it a time or two.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful post...The wonder and abandon of a child! Patty
