I am so glad I started decorating my house for Christmas before we flew to Missouri for Thanksgiving. There’s nothing like the coming home feeling, (except maybe if I was coming home with my Missouri daughter and my South Carolina daughter, son in law and grandbabies tucked away in my suitcase!). I am excited to get home and not have to put away the fall décor and get out the Christmas décor. Everything is done except for the tree, and since we get a fresh tree we don’t get it too early.
This is my Christmas mantel so far…I say so far because I usually play around and end up making changes here and there. I forgot to light the candles before taking the photos for this post, but as I said, I may end up changing things a bit, so I’m sure you’ll be seeing more mantel photos before long!
Tis the season!

Hi precious friend--
ReplyDeleteYour mantle is so pretty--I especially love the Merry Christmas blocks--I had some--still have some--ha--and somewhere in the melee of things one Christmas in the distant past, a couple of them got misplace never to be found again SO I can't exactly use the ones I have remaining.
I will be looking forward to seeing how you change things up. Keep us posted.
Love,
Dianne
I love what you've done with your mantel! The wreath is such fun and you have some really interesting things on it. Love those twig star lights. You're ahead of me - I had grandkids (one at a time for overnight and during the next day) over the weekend. The Christmas boxes are down out of the attic and some things have been taken out. The mantel is next! Love decorating for this time of year.

Pretty. I'm so ready for a change to my mantel this year. I guess I just need to go for it!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. Mine is a work in progress right now.
ReplyDeleteI love the lights nestled in the greenery and the wreath!
I'm LOVING it! That wreath above the mantel is my favorite part. I need to do a wreath over my fireplace. It just looks terrific.
ReplyDeleteI also love how the lights illuminate from behind things. That's really pretty, too.
Of course, I'm just getting cranked up. I'm always about two steps behind the rest of the world.
Beautiful job. The little Merry Christmas blocks are such a great touch.
