I simply remember my favorite things…Friday’s favs…french-style milk bottle…

When the Hubs and I spent a couple of days at the beach for Valentine’s we had set back a little extra spending money to take along.  I looked at the outlet mall and not a thing caught my eye.  I browsed through some of the antique stores…nada.

Later on when I saw this French style milk bottle here I knew that it was the little Valentine present I wanted.  (I also got a card filled with love words and a bag of my favorite peanut M&Ms. My mama always said I had “champagne taste and a beer budget”.  But that’s not the case with me when it comes to chocolate…give me peanuts covered in chocolate over fancy chocolates any day!)

I love the red, which is one of my favorite colors.  I love the French words, probably because my mama and her family were French Canadian and when I was little I thought that was so exotic…my Nana spoke French!  I took four years of French in high school.  Parlez-vous francais?  I barely parlez-vous anymore…sad.

(The healthy muffin recipe can be found here, only this time I halved the amount of oil and sugar to make it even healthier.  Baby granddaughter loves them. The vintage style chicken wire basket was purchased at Marshall’s.)

Happy Friday Everyone!

  5. What a gorgeous vignette you created in those photos! Crisp, cheerful and that milk bottle is lovely. My mom used to pretend that she could speak Spanish for awhile and we believed her and thought she was exotic too...until we finally took Spanish classes! You definitely had the real deal with your French Nana. :-)Thank you so much for linking this up to Inspiration Friday this week!
