Therefore we will not fear…

DSC_0048_thumb[4]-scripture

Those of us living along the west coast of the U.S. have heard numerous news reports filled with foreboding about the possibilities of a major earthquake here due to the Cascadia fault that lies all up and down our coastline.  The fear can begin to mess with your mind as you watch the devastation from the earthquake in Japan.  The best antidote to the fear is to keep my mind set on the Truth.  I have a post-it marking this Psalm in my Bible.

Still following,

Elizabeth

(I love the grainy old film effect of this photo and verse and wish I could say I did it on purpose,

but in truth it was a “happy accident”.)

I wrote the post that Carol just referred to and she pointed me here! God's Word: what can be better?

  4. I believe I have heard it said that there are 365 verses in the Bible that address fear. One for every day of the year. Isn't God good like that? (I hope I'm remembering that right. He's good either way!)

  6. Wow, your explanation for the photo and verse made this really hit home. I live on the east coast, but I just told my husband that I refused to move to the west coast. It is such a beautiful coast, but I didn't want to be near those fault lines.

Your beautiful photo and verser reminded me to TRUST GOD, no matter what, and let Him lead us where He needs us to be.
