Last Sunday, Hope City, our daughter and son-in-law’s four month old church, baptized 12 new followers of Jesus in the cold, gray waters of the Columbia River. What a blessing to be able to be there to see the public confession of faith by these new believers!
Tomorrow we celebrate Pentecost Sunday and the baptism with the Holy Spirit and fire spoken of by John the Baptist in this passage. I thank God for the Holy Spirit, the Helper, Comforter, Counselor, Teacher, that Jesus sent to live in us.
Still following,
Elizabeth
Amen...what a testimony. I have been preparing my heart for Pentecost by reading through Acts this season. Such a wonderful reminder of the power in Christ. Thanks for this testimony.
