I’ve wanted an old-fashioned cruiser bike for some time.
No complicated gears to shift.
No leaning forward to reach the handle bars.
No horribly hard, itsy bitsy seat.
(Those seats aren’t big enough to comfortably hold my youngest grandbaby’s behind,
and she only weighs 27 pounds!)
Bike riding as it was meant to be…
relaxing,
enjoyable,
the wind blowing in my hair as I cruise the neighborhood in the cool of the evening.
I’ve named her “Daisy”.

Textures:
All photos:Kim Klaussen’s subtly yours texture, photos 2 and 5 also have a layer of Kim’s stained linen texture, then I removed the texture from the blossoms in the basket.
Still following,

Those are so relaxing. There is def. a difference in the older bicycles vs. the new ones.
ReplyDeleteLove it . . . I've got a bike like that and it's so darn comfortable to ride.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth ~
ReplyDeleteI love Daisy!! I want one so bad ~ In fact I just did a post on cruisers :)
I was wondering where you got it ~ I love the basket and I love the color!! I was looking at Target and Wal Mart but they are so inexpensive that I kind of wondered if they moved ~ hehe!!
Thank you for sharing Daisy with us :)

Daisy Daisy give me your answer please...
ReplyDeleteLove the cruiser and it just SCREAMS summertime.
Did you know that I named my new cruiser bike 'Daisy'? And I have that same basket! Great minds think alike, my friend. When I get the 'all clear' to do what I want following recovery from my shoulder surgery we should let the two Daisies meet!

ReplyDeleteI am IN-LOVE!! <3
ReplyDeleteI love that you had a light hand with your texturing--so far I am having a hard time not being too heavy handed--just beautiful--makes my heart sing just imaging you riding on this through your neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteWonderful texture and text work!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun bike and lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteYes!! That's exactly what I want too. I also need to show this to my younger daughter Miss Whimsy, she wants what she calls, "just an old fashioned bike."
ReplyDeleteThese photos of your bicycle and the flowers in the little basket warm the heart and take me back to my childhood. Back in those days we rode our bikes to school everyday. It was a much slowed paced life we led in the 40’s and 50’s. Lovely photography.
ReplyDeleteYou lucky lady - your bicycle is fabulous as well as your photographs! :O)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Marie
