This was the view the Hubs and I had fourth of July evening as we waited for the fireworks to begin.
These are taken from Mt. Tabor park looking west toward downtown Portland.
All shots are straight from the camera, unedited.
When it finally became dark we could see not only the fireworks display from downtown,
but fireworks from several neighboring communities.
However, the pre-fireworks show that God put on was the highlight of the evening.
Still following,
Elizabeth
I'll take a gorgeous sunset over noisy fireworks any day! :)
ReplyDeleteThe pre-fireworks show, gently speaking of glory every night. beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty view. I'll bet the fireworks were breathtaking. We had thunderstorms...God's fireworks in the sky!
ReplyDeleteMy husband, son and I all said that about God's fireworks, too, but we didn't have the same sights you did. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful pictures. What a wonderful piece of God's creation to behold!
ReplyDeleteNo matter how hard we try we can't outdo God and the beauty of His creation!
ReplyDeleteSometimes, it's easy to forget that you can get above the city in Portland....and see sights like this. Beautiful....Mt. Tabor is just such a place.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! HE knows how to paint a picture for us, if we will just slow & look. Joining you at Dayle's today.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful....and I think His work is the most amazing
ReplyDeleteElizabeth,
ReplyDeleteGod so outdoes anything man could create and it is ours to enjoy every night not just on a special occasion. Love your Simple, Summer Pleasure.
