I could live without them…
little bits and pieces of this and that here and there around my home…
but I see beauty in them…
they bring me pleasure.
We could have lived without the beauty…
God could have given us a world without it…
a world without lovely things to see, hear, taste, touch…
but He created beauty for His pleasure and for ours…
ours to enjoy…
to take notice of, to appreciate, to give thanks for.
my continuing gratitude list #1223-#1239

Gratefully yours,

Lovely post, thank you.
ReplyDeleteAmen, Elizabeth! I delight in the beauty of the details, too. I just read, in a Grace Livingston Hill book, the following:
ReplyDelete"There is an education and an uplifting in beautiful things, and in quiet, peaceful, restful surroundings, which does not count for naught, else God would not have made the world so beautiful." Your post brings this to mind.
I love the beautiful, inspiring treasures and tidbits God delights me with! He is so creative and I too, am so thankful for such a BEAUTIFUL God!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures and words. I agree with you. I can tell just through reading your blog that you have a wonderfully sweet spirit. God bless you!!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy all the beautiful pictures you take. They are so refreshing especially since OK is hot, dry and nearly everything in my yard is brown. I especially love the picture with the milk bottles in your milk carrier. I have been looking for one like yours that will hold 6 bottles. Keep sending us God's beauty!! It is always refreshing and uplifting for me!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Post Elizabeth... I too enjoy all of my beautiful bits and pieces which I'm thankful and grateful for. There is Beauty abounding all around us that the Master Creator saturated our world with... taking the time to notice and appreciate it is one of Life's greatest Joys!
