Yes, to my sweet followers and readers who played along with me and guessed where my dream vacation was taking me…Prince Edward Island, Canada! We flew into Maine, the place my Mama was raised, and spent Monday night in Bar Harbor. All day Tuesday we traveled through Maine, crossed the border and traveled well into New Brunswick, Canada and spent the night.
Today we drove the rest of the way to the Confederation Bridge that spans from New Brunswick to PEI.
The bridge is over 9 miles long!
My dream come true!
What a blessing to visit the place of my Mama’s birth, the place my French ancestors helped to settle.
Of course, it is also the place of one of my favorite fictional characters, Anne of Green Gables.
Once we crossed over to the island, we drove to Charlottetown and checked into our hotel.
After a short rest, we headed to the wharf and enjoyed a dinner of wonderful fresh seafood.
Tomorrow we begin exploring more of this beautiful place!
Still following,
Elizabeth
So happy for you!
ReplyDeleteLooks a very good day! That bridge looks a little scary though.
