It’s September!
I’m ready to put away all of the summer décor,
but I’m just not quite ready for full blown fall décor and pumpkins and gourds yet.
So, I decided to start with a just few simple changes to acknowledge the coming season.
School’s starting!
An apple for the teacher?
Fall mums and a wooden goose.
Warm wood tones and textures.
More fall mums in my antique wooden tool caddy, a birthday gift from the Hubs.
(Well, he gave me the birthday money and I picked it out! I love it!
He got me something else that I can’t wait to show you, but it will have to wait for a rainy day. )
HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE and HAVE A BLESSED WEEKEND!
Elizabeth
Great gift and a lovely choice. The colours go so well together, very cheery!
ReplyDeletePerfect decor choices for September....love the pencils and bus pic! Adore the tool caddy, what a wonderful gift!!
ReplyDeleteHappy September!!
Love your fall decor - I'm almost ready to change seasons! Want to hang on a bit longer. Can't wait to see what else your hubby gave you for your birthday.

I have seen several; old tool boxes on Blogs and now I think I NEED one!!! Love your little touches of Fall! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteI love your decorating. I look forward to seeing what you've done next.
ReplyDeletegoodness! Autumn never looked so good! All those little touches – the browns – the earth tones – the new pencils, and the love strewn about by the decorator in chief. I'm not really a fall person – I'm a spring/summer person. I don't want summer to end – I don't really want fall to come – because winter comes after fall. But decorating like this makes fall look a little less… a little less… cloudy, rainy, fall-y. I still don't heart fall – but I heart the fall that you brought into your home. God bless you and each and every one of yours Elizabeth.
ReplyDeleteOK. I'm inspired. Time to get off the computer and work to make my home smell the way I imagine yours is. Like a garden.
