What an amazing experience it has been to fulfill my dream of visiting Prince Edward Island!
It is a beautiful place, idyllic really.
The people here are so friendly.
As I mentioned before, Mama was born here.
My French Acadian ancestors were early settlers of the island.
Today we happened upon a distant relative who owned a grocery store we stopped at
and another who worked at a museum we went to.
They were so helpful in helping us to understand our history.
We were told that if our Mama was born here, that means we are islanders too.
I’m lovin’ it!

P.E.I.’s red clay soil and beautiful seashore.
This former home of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s elderly relatives
was the home that was the inspiration for her book Anne of Green Gables.
A beautiful, restful, peaceful place.
It is called the gentle island.
HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE and HAVE A BLESSED WEEKEND!
