Once upon a time, on a gray, rainy, Oregon afternoon…
a woman went to Walmart for some exciting necessities,
like paper towels,
and laundry bleach…
but she ended up meandering through the garden center
to see if there were any signs of spring in there…
and there she found a cast off bag of clearance sale fall bulbs,
hyacinths, that had begun to sprout…
so she took them home and planted them willy nilly
in odd and interesting containers…
and she smiled…
on a gray, rainy, Oregon afternoon.
Still following,
Elizabeth
So beautiful Elizabeth! Isn't it just like all of us...we should be cast off and yet He sees the beauty in us and brings us right on home. :-) Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

I have really been wanting to try my hand at "forcing" some bulbs. What joy you will receive from watching these grow and bloom in the gray winter months!
ReplyDeleteForcing bulbs is such a fun thing to do. I miss being home and doing fun things like this. Enjoying a sliver of spring in the winter. Lovely
ReplyDeleteAnd they smell heavenly, too! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteSweet. My Amarelas bloomed this week. Made me smile also. Love your music! Also makes me smile.
