As far back as I can remember this little enamelware soap dish was in the house I grew up in.
When Mama moved into a senior’s condominium it moved with her,
but just sat unused on a shelf in her laundry room.
One day, I asked her if I could have it, and in a “why ever would you want that old thing?” voice, she said I could.
I just love the old farmhouse look of vintage enamelware.
This old enamelware bowl was a Goodwill find.
It now sits on an old stool in my kitchen.
An old enamelware film developing tray holds the soap next to my kitchen sink.
I love this old enamelware chamber candlestick! (found on Etsy, click on photo for link)
Any other lovers of old enamelware out there?
Well, it’s almost Friday, so…
Have a HAPPY, HAPPY FRIDAY and a BLESSED WEEKEND!

Oh, yeah! Here's one - (lover of enamelware)!
ReplyDeleteThat soap dish is quite unusual, I think. I have a small rectangular one--not nearly as fancy as yours.
I love it too and but only have one piece. It seems to be highly priced when I have looked for it. I have a bowl that looks just like yours. Currently it is on my back porch. I especially love the soap dish and candle stick. :)
ReplyDeleteI would never see the beauty on my own. Thank you for framing it for me. :)
ReplyDeleteI love enamelware also but mine is a different color. Since I also like jadeite dishes I have cream/green enamelware. I have a small rectangular one in my cabinet that holds flavor packets, a pie plate, and a square one. It's funny what can be pretty to us. Sometimes we do have to see something from someone elses eyes to appreciate.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the wooden boxes too!
Too cute!

I love your enamelware collection. Especially the piece that was your mamma's. Wait till you see my dear, little mother's collection - you-re going to love it. Can't wait to take you there.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry I tried to edit spelling and deleted my own comment.
ReplyDeleteLove the enamelware! I had coffee with a dear friend and she served out of her mother's creamer/sugar beige enamelware! I think it made the coffee and the sweet talk all the more pleasurable! It is the "SIMPLE" things that God intended for our lives! You share that so well on your blog! Simple prevents us from being robbed of all God has for us!!!
Perfect rest and peace in the Lord for your weekend!
Sharon :)
