It’s been snowing off and on all day long!
It’s not really sticking, but still!
Snow in March is highly unusual here.
I need some spring!
This little transferware sugar bowl is marked ironstone on the bottom.
It’s missing its lid, so was only $1.48 at the G.W.
I knew right away I would use it as a little planter.
Once the primroses finish blooming, I’ll plant them outside.
Then maybe the sugar bowl will become home to a cute little succulent.
Or next winter I could force a bulb in it so I can have some wintertime blossoms.
$1.48 for a cheery touch of spring on a snowy day is a pretty good deal in my book.
Still following,
Elizabeth
It's a GREAT deal in my book! I love the way it looks together, and I hope that very soon you will have your spring. We're over our heads with it here.
ReplyDeleteWe had quite a bit of snow - and it stuck! I wonder who stole our Spring! Love your sweet little planter! I bought me some daffodils and tulips today!

How pretty. I know these pretty little flowers would certainly make some Spring happen in my house.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
shelia ;)
I too have a primrose in my kitchen to brighten things up!! I absolutely adore your sweet little deal!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you saw a good use for something that was missing a part. A way that was not the original use but a way that was a very good use. I think God does that with us sometimes when we mess up our lives but he finds another way to use us where we can still be beautiful. Thank you again for your inspiration.
ReplyDeleteIt just hit me that you mentioned snow where you live. That just seems so funny to me because we already need to use our air conditioners here in Florida. I also had to plug in the mosquito control device. The tradeoff is that every azalea bush is overflowing with blooms as is every other plant just about. God sure made a lot of beauty.
ReplyDeleteFresh and pretty--inspiring too--I'm so ready for a touch of spring! Thanks for sharing a pretty post.
