The reward of Jesus’ sacrifice is people.
I often think about a teeming ocean of people from every tribe and tongue,
that have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior,
all in the bridal garments of their culture,
being presented to the Heavenly Bridegroom.
His Bride, worshipping Him in praise so loud,
it’s like the rolling thunder,
like the crashing waves.
Maybe my theology is wrong,
maybe we will all be dressed alike in the same wedding garment,
(but I kind of hope not).
But, still, while I am sure that we will all be like Him,
(finally! no more struggle with sin and our flesh!),
we will still be known as we are known now,
each in our own beautiful uniqueness.
Still following,
Elizabeth
Oh AMEN. I love the fact that God looks out over the whole expanse of His children, and He sees something unique about ME.
ReplyDeleteAnd I like your idea. I want to wear a big old dress like Betsy Ross with long ruffles on the sleeves. And in my glorified body, I'm going to look nifty in it, too.
So Beautifully Spoken, awe sweet to the ears. Amen.

Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog. I'm relatively new to blogging, so I really find the comments encouraging.
ReplyDeleteLove this post. I heard someone talking about this very thing just the other day...about being known for who we are in heaven though we don't really know what, exactly, we'll look like. I agree with you. I think we will look similar to the way we do now, except that all our positive attributes will be magnified and our gifts will be evident to all and fully utilized to God's glory. Us, only perfect.

Thanks Cheryl. Glad you stopped by!
DeleteThank you so much for stopping by Leaving A Legacy. I loved your photo. That will be amazing when we are all gathered together and we can see Him face to face! Have a wonderful day! Many blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteThis is what our sermon was about today! How we'll have one universal praise...each tribe and nation. He will be our common denominator!
ReplyDeleteIt's mind boggling and I cannot wait. :)
I don't always get to stop over here, Elizabeth, but I'm always blessed when I do! Love your first sentence, "The reward of Jesus' sacrifice is people", but yet, each one so very special and unique to Himself!! Such a beautiful post, and photo!!
