Fruit of our doings...

DSC_0588pk.jpg

It's a sobering thought that God's eyes are open to ALL of the ways of man.

We know it, but do we think, speak, and act like we really believe it?

I would like to be able to answer that with a wholehearted yes I do, but unfortunately that's too often not the case.

I've been praying that I will think, speak and act like the Father.

Jesus only said and did what His Father said and did, and I want to be like Him.

I want the fruit of my "doings" to be sweet.

Still following,

Elizabeth

  2. Me too.

I just typed not one but TWO long responses to this and decided that they were both just plain too long. So I'll leave this at Amen and let God know the meditations of my heart that came springing up from this post.

  5. I think about God knowing all my "stuff" and it starts to get me all freaked out. Then, he reminds me about grace. Always. Grace...

  6. Yes, praying for the fruit of our doings to be of Him and sweet because of His love through us. Good point here. Thank you for sharing it.

(And cherries were on sale 'round here recently, so we've been eating them for about a week. Yum!)

  7. Yes, it does seem that sometimes we act as if God is not watching what we are doing?! Patsy from

  8. What a lovely prayer Elizabeth. If I could just leave it there, doing what the Father does, wouldn't life be sweet? You gave me something to think about.

  10. It's my heart-goal, too. And, yet, so much of "life" interferes, day by day. My hope is that I will become more and more helpfully focused.

    Bless your day.

I like your patriotic decor post, too. Especially the slatted piece you found on a walk!

  16. I don't do the things I want to do either. It is an honorable goal to have and may we all strive for it all the days of our life. Good word this morning.
