We are smack dab in the middle of the summer months.
Last week was beautiful and warm, but we have cooler weather today.
I'm sittling in my home office, (aka, Elizabeth's sanctuary), enjoying the cool, fresh air coming through the window.
I talked to youngest daughter long distance from Missouri this morning, and FaceTimed with my daughter and two grandkids from Ghana.
I'm so thankful for modern technology!
My grandson's hair has grown long and curly and oldest granddaughter looks like she's another foot taller since we were in Ghana with them in April.
Oldest daughter and her hubs and our two youngest granddaughters, who live here in Portland near us, are on vacation this week.
Facing a week without seeing the two little ones, I'm already missing them.
I'm late getting my gratitude list up, moving slow this morning, and hoping summer does too…loving the warmth and beauty of these mid-summer days.

I’ve taken the Joy Dare.
I’m counting one thousand thanks in one year.
I hunt for thanksgiving using the prompts Ann gives us each month.

I continue to count my thanks
piling up gratitude day by day
in my little black journal…

Your grandchildren are beautiful. Wonderful list of gifts!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful grandchildren and a great list of gratitudes. :)
ReplyDeleteYou would think with all the grandchildren references, those would be my favorites this week. I love grandchildren stuff.
ReplyDeleteBut no. My favorite line, hand's down, was THIS:
"He is my wisdom.
My 'I thinks' get me nowhere."
Your words and images are always so precious!
