The Hubs and I took a picnic lunch to a favorite place by the river on our date day.
I thought I'd share some of the beauty with you, as well as some beauty from God's Word.
I think Psalm 23 is so overly familiar to us that we often fail to meditate on the depths of the promises it contains.
It contains some pretty powerful words, not just words to read at a funeral, but words to live by.
Still following,
Elizabeth

ReplyDeleteThat picture and verse are lovely, and so is the idea of date day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo and apt Scripture choice "the still waters" of His Word are always so beautifully refreshing and grant us rest from the stresses and strains of life.
ReplyDeleteA lovely photo, Elizabeth, and I think you're right about the 23 Psalm being overly familiar and overlooked. I just love it, and what a wonderful one to read and be reassured of God's tender, merciful, ever present love. Thank you for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Becky

ReplyDeletePsalms 23 is one of my favorites. Especially the very first verse. To me it means I lack for nothing in any area. Shalom= nothing missing nothing broken!! This is one of the many verses in the Bible that just shows God's love for His children! And that's ME!!
