On our stair landing sits an antique trunk that my husband gave me as a Christmas present quite some years ago.
I love the old metal and the wood trim.
It also comes in handy for extra storage!
(It's filled with Christmas glasses and dishes.)
I love the design in the tin.
Above the old trunk I've hung this old rack that I found at the Goodwill.
I've had, and heard, all sorts of ideas of what it is.
My favorite theory is that it's a French bread cooling rack.
I love that.
Well, it's almost Friday friends.
HAPPY, HAPPY FRIDAY
and
have a BLESSED weekend!
Still following,
Elizabeth
I love your old trunk!
ReplyDeleteThese are the presents I love! Not jewelry, not expensive things, but gifts that he really had to think about and knew you would love!
ReplyDeleteI adore old trunks. I have one I use for a coffee table. There is a label inside that says Liverpoole, England. It's one of my favorite things.
ReplyDeleteCame over from Shabbilicious to see your trunk. Love it!

The embossed tin on your trunk is beautiful! I love pretty storage pieces- your hubby has good taste. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stuff you got, especially that antique trunk. I also have two small wooden trunks with mother of pearl inlay.
ReplyDeleteCheers ... visiting from Panglao Island, Bohol!

After reading your blog yesterday and feeling every bit of my 57 years, I did something that my grandson has been wanting to do for a long time. He wanted to do it before school started back again,so, we went jet skiing. I was a little bit afraid to do it and really sort of dreaded it. In the end we had so much fun,fun at 57. I am glad I did it,glad I have my grandson.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely spot to display those pieces and even better that there is some extra storage. The rack is neat and the quilt looks great there.
