I love this verse in the Amplified version of the Bible.
I love the fact that God sifts and searches out the path before us.
I picture Him going before us, sifting out the rocks in our way, filling in the potholes.
Anything He allows to remain in the path, He must surely have a great purpose for since He is that careful and watchful over us.
Still following,
Elizabeth
The words and picture make a big impact. One of my favorite verses says, "I will go before you and make the crooked places straight." So while God's filling in the potholes, He's straightening the path, too.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you had a post today because by the time I got home tonight there were so many discouraging things in my mind that I sincerely needed the "good stuff" to put into my brain. I needed to be reminded that God is so much greater than all of the bad stuff. Satan just likes to get the focus off of God and onto a problem. You made me remember to get focused on God again and I do actually feel a smile coming on.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad this blessed you and made your day a little better!
DeleteI love the visual I get of God sifting through my heart, removing the rocks and the dirt. He knows me inside and out, good and the bad. And He still loves me!
ReplyDeleteSweet picture. Great peace and trust knowing He is acquainted with all my ways.
ReplyDeleteYes, the words of this whole psalm are so heart lifting... as yours are here! Thank you! -Pam
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing to think that each one of us treads a slightly different path in life and for each of us He has gone before us and prepared it. I love that He knows me so intimately..and understands me..even more than I know myself. I am awestruck by the size and magnitude of His thinking, His brain, His capacity to know and understand is beyond comprehension.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about how nice it is that the internet is being used to strengthen and uplift other christians. While the internet has been used to destroy many christians with the porn and filth, it is also being used for good. It at least lets us know that there are many other christians out there and it is nice to know.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! I have an amplified of the New Testament, will have to track down one for the OT. A very good perspective on that familiar verse. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that! Thanks for sharing your insights with us.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marilyn!
DeleteAwww, Elizabeth. Beautiful beautiful. Simply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI so love this, the little one in the picture and the verse. It touches me deeply today, as my grief is deep for a little one and my heart is broken.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth! thank you for this verse! I love this Psalm in particular to help us on any journey we are walking! XO
ReplyDeleteI like that translation of that verse, too! I haven't read it before. Great photo to go with the verse. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo and scripture to match. Very creative. Thank you Jesus that you search out our paths and guide us.
Blessings,
Judy
Yes. That is such a blessing for us as we walk through and live through our lives... the guidance and paths in our lives even if, physically, we can't walk, our hearts can.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this beautiful post! I love it. Thank you for stopping by Beautifully Rooted.
