I shared about my recent purchase of this antique wood cubby last Friday.
This week I've taken some time to welcome autumn's arrival by adding some fall decor here and there around the house.
I posted about my autumn table here.
And, I posted about my autumn mantel here.
My wood cubby received some touches of autumn as well.
Some tiny white pumpkins and some vintage tins filled with nuts and acorns, along with some pops of orange, hint of the season's change.
The Hub's boots from when he was a little guy are one of my favorite things and are usually displayed somewhere around our house.
In this photo you can see how the entry hall of my house leads into the living room.
In the entry hall I wanted some faux fall branches to put in my zinc pitcher but they are a little pricey at $10 a branch.
So, I just found a branch outside and simply hot glued some artificial fall leaves that I already had onto a real branch.
I like the pop of color it adds, and love that it was quick, simple and free!
Well, it's almost Friday, friends!
HAPPY, HAPPY FRIDAY
and
have a BLESSED weekend!
HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!
I love the cubby!! Great find. Love the leaves glued to a real branch too. Must do this myself. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe cubby has such a beautiful patina. Your craft inspiration with the branch is just that...inspiring!
ReplyDeleteThe wood floors are lovely, too.
Your cubby is filled with wonderful little accessories! And the entrance to your home is so welcoming...love the idea of faux leaves on a real branch.

I have a feeling you'd be dangerous with a hot glue gun. :)

ReplyDeleteHappy Fall Y'all right back at ya.
ReplyDeleteI have missed so much since I took an unexpected computer hiatus because of a personal family issue. I hope to have the time to read old posts in the next week and get myself inspired. I love the new to you cubby and the way you dressed it for fall. My favorite part of all is your favorite: the boots. That's just plain perfect to me.
I hope all is well in your corner of the world. Mine has been rocky, but God has been my rock.
Great touches of Fall. Wonderful to have you at Seasonal Sundays.

I have to chuckle, I've wanted some fall leaves for my vase in the kitchen too but thought they were too expensive... Love your idea and may just have to borrow it:@)
