I love Isaiah 60.
It's one of my favorite chapters in the Bible.
The Bible I use most is the Amplified version.
Here's the entirety of Isaiah 60:1 in the Amplified version of the Bible.
Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!
Isn't that so encouraging?
Here's to shining brightly!
Still following,
Beautiful encouraging verse, Elizabeth. Thank you for sharing this morning.

ReplyDeleteIt was good to read this today. Thank you. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful I popped in today. Thank you for encouraging my heart.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful. I'd not considered the words as arising from depression. Now I want to read Isiah with that in mind.
ReplyDeleteI am singing now, the beautiful song.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for that scripture. I needed it today since we just had to put my Mom into a nursing home. Hardest thing I have ever done. I had not reazlied I was fighting depression until one of the nurses at the hospital told me that was why I felt so tired and exhausted all the time both mentally and physcially. When I got into my car I immediately kicked that spirit of depresssion out and when I got home I opened my patio door and told it and all the other demons to get out of my home. I've had to battle that spirit ever since but I'm on the winning team. I'm getting better and better everyday! Again, thank you I really needed that scripture!!
ReplyDeleteIsaiah is one of my favorite books. This is a great verse.
ReplyDeleteHad to chuckle. Elizabeth, you and I have a bit more in common than we had guessed. I'm an Isaiah "addict" AND an Amp. reader for 32 years.
ReplyDeleteThe photo and the Word and the EXTRA Words ... all "loverly".
Bless you and hope you've been poured and poured more with love.
I just love it
