I'm feeling a jumble of mixed feelings as the Hubs, our second born daughter
and a team from our church leave for Ghana in the wee hours tomorrow.
They will be joining my son-in-law and an engineer from our church who are already there.
The well and irrigation project for Homabenase is being dug and constructed this week!
I'm happy about the project,
but not fond of the Hubs being on the other side of the world from me!
I'll have company though.
I'm watching my two grandkids while their mama and daddy are in Ghana.
I'm sure the time will fly by and the Hubs will be home before I know it.
I'd sure appreciate your prayers that all goes smoothly for the team going to Ghana
and for the well and irrigation construction as well as for everyone's safety.
What a reason for thanks that this project is finally happening!

In 2012 I followed the prompts in Ann Voskamp's Joy Dare in counting my thanks.
In 2013 I'm going back to the way I did it in the beginning,
just noticing and recording the many extraordinary blessings in my ordinary life.
just noticing and recording the many extraordinary blessings in my ordinary life.
And so I continue to count my thanks
piling up gratitude day by day
in my little black journal.
(and capturing some of them via my camera or iPhone)

I was blessed while reading about YOUR blessings - and WILL pray for you as you care for your grandchildren and for the Ghana team...safety & success of their mission.
ReplyDeleteSo much to be thankful for here--love that sweet baby in the hat--
ReplyDeleteYes, Elizabeth, heartfelt prayers for your husband, daughter and the team--what a wonderful mission!
The ocean--don't take it for granted even for a moment--most of us see the ocean a max of 5 to 10 times in our lifetime if that much. I know you don't--
I'm praying for the team, for your hubby, your daughter and all involved in the well project. And for you, dear friend!
