I love to read the description of God's throne in heaven found in Revelation 4.
I am in awe when I think of it.
I am anxious for the day that I will get to see Him in all of His honor and majesty, strength and beauty.
Here's a link to a song by John Thurlow based on Revelation 4...
still following,
Dear Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteI can only dream of the glory, majesty a nd beauty of the throne room if our King of heaven. Yet, everything is enveloped by His great love.
Yes, Elizabeth, I cannot wait to bend the knee in front of His Majesty.
Much love XX
Mia

Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss. It really is our loss isn't it, because for those who have received Jesus, they are experiencing the better things!
DeleteWon't it be wonderful when we get to see it face to face?
ReplyDeleteAmen to that Holly!
Deletescripture, photography, song all intertwined surely give praise to our Redeemer, Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteLinda
Thanks, friend! You are a blessing!
DeleteThat picture is so beautiful...peaceful but somehow vibrant and gentle at the same time.
ReplyDeleteHard to image with the beauty that surrounds us in our world that we cannot even imagine heaven and the beauty of Him to come.
Peace be with you!
I know! Think of the vast variety of beauty we have in our fallen, sin scarred world. Imagine the beauty in the perfection that is to come when He returns!
DeleteElizabeth, when I read your post I thought of a minister we have come to our church at least twice a year. His name is Gary Wood. When he was a young man he died in a horrible car crash and went to heaven, but Jesus sent him back. He has a book "A Place Called Heaven". He describes God's throne, if i remember correctly and all the things his friend showed him in heave. I believe you would enjoy his book tremendously.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for letting me know about this!
DeleteYes, I am looking forward to seeing my Savior face-to-face and beholding His glory!
ReplyDeleteYou have a peaceful blog :)
Thanks Anne. I love that my little place here feels peaceful. What an encouragement that was to me!
DeleteI've been slowly making my way through Revelation this spring. I don't pretend to act as if I "get" it all. But one thing I do know, as a result of reading these chapters: God is holy, and definitely worthy of praise.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to stop in and comment Diedra! Thanks for being such a great hostess each week.
DeleteBeautiful picture and gentle song.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice worship song!
ReplyDeleteThat portion of Revelation is one of my favorites. Those words always just make me fill with rejoice and am hoping for that day... for all of us, forever.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elizabeth.
