Psalm 96:6...

I love to read the description of God's throne in heaven found in Revelation 4.
I am in awe when I think of it.
I am anxious for the day that I will get to see Him in all of His honor and majesty, strength and beauty.

Here's a link to a song by John Thurlow based on Revelation 4...

    1. Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss. It really is our loss isn't it, because for those who have received Jesus, they are experiencing the better things!

  9. That picture is so beautiful...peaceful but somehow vibrant and gentle at the same time.
Hard to image with the beauty that surrounds us in our world that we cannot even imagine heaven and the beauty of Him to come.
    Peace be with you!

    1. I know! Think of the vast variety of beauty we have in our fallen, sin scarred world. Imagine the beauty in the perfection that is to come when He returns!

  10. Elizabeth, when I read your post I thought of a minister we have come to our church at least twice a year. His name is Gary Wood. When he was a young man he died in a horrible car crash and went to heaven, but Jesus sent him back. He has a book "A Place Called Heaven". He describes God's throne, if i remember correctly and all the things his friend showed him in heave. I believe you would enjoy his book tremendously.

  12. I've been slowly making my way through Revelation this spring. I don't pretend to act as if I "get" it all. But one thing I do know, as a result of reading these chapters: God is holy, and definitely worthy of praise.

  13. That portion of Revelation is one of my favorites. Those words always just make me fill with rejoice and am hoping for that day... for all of us, forever.

    Thanks, Elizabeth.
