Because we are stubborn and don't really understand the amazing grace of God. Eventually, though, I can rest in His goodness and let it go. I think I am finally getting there this summer. Blessings to you! Love, Rachael
So much better! Isn't the book of Acts amazing. I always notice how the Holy Spirit communicated so directly with them, and we have the same Holy Spirit in us. I want to hear him say go here or don't go there, like they did.
Dear Elizabeth I think that if people really realized how ease and short the way to our Pappa's heart is, church activities will become so very much less! To keep it complicated is to keep the people tied up in religion. Blessings XX Mia
The river we go to is perfect for the grandkids in the summer. Shallow enough to wade across in most spots, but deep enough to float and let the current carry you downstream.
Oh, why do we complicate the simple truth? I want to jump into that stream and feel those fresh waters flowing over me, calling me to repent and return. Then the refreshment would flow upon me. Hallelujah! ~ linda
We certainly do over complicate things don't we? Must be why He tells us to have the faith of a child...simple and trusting. Blessings to you this day!
Because the flesh always thinks it can_____________________. (Fill in the blank!) I'm a beach lover too but on the other end of the country. Different climates, different beaches and water but fiercely loved by the same God. Nice to meet you.
Why do we make things so difficult? Because I think I know best...I want my own way...I'm impatient...the list goes on!! Thanks for the reminder that God is in control.

ReplyDeleteYes, indeed, Jody! Thanks for being so encouraging to me.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It SHOULD be easy to live in the "God" way, but we do tend to make it much and much tougher. I hope I can become simpler.
ReplyDeleteNice to "see" you, my dear one.
