According to the Scripture anyone who was hung on a tree was cursed.
Jesus took our curse for us when He died on the cross.
The following verse says He then blessed us with the same blessings He gave Abraham.
Blessing instead of curses...now that's a wonderful trade!
still following,
Dear Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love that chapter where God advises us to choose between life and death; blessings and curses and then telling us that He is Life!
Much love XX
Mia
I agree, Mia!
DeleteWhen I think "men" of the world who want power - and with that powerful do not truly liberate but control - and I think of the son of man and His Father with all the power in the universe - who liberates and loves - it just WOWS me!
ReplyDeleteWow, I never thought of it like that, but you are so right. He is the Humble King isn't He!
Deletewe didn't get what we deserve
ReplyDeleteand did get what we didn't deserve
grace, redemption, freedom
life is His light
what a trade!
Yes, so thankful that He took my curse and gives me blessing instead!
DeleteI love this picture. I love how the tree seems to be tenaciously clinging to the edge of that cliff. Rather like we need to be clinging to the cross of Christ.
ReplyDeleteI need to be a little more tenacious... Sigh...
So happy you came by! I agree that I need to cling to the cross of Jesus more and more!
DeleteAMEN! So thankful for the cross.
ReplyDeleteAmen, friend!
