It's New Year's Eve 2013.
Tomorrow we wake up to welcome a whole new year.
My word for 2014 is JOY.
You can read more about how that word was chosen in this post.
Acts 2:28 is the verse that will stay on the chalkboard in our dining room throughout the year.
I really do believe the Old Testament practice of having God's Word visible around our home.
(see Deuteronomy 6:4-9)
My prayer for you is that 2014 will be a JOY-FULL year for you and yours,
God bless you, friends!
So many of you have become real friends with which I share life's joys and sorrows.
Though I might not have ever seen you face to face, I thank God for you!
still following,
I think it's so special that we have chosen the same word! That's why I want to follow you. ( your blog). Especially in 2014 :-) I read your blog with amazement and I als wish you a lot of joy in Him! God bless you!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I will follow you as well so we can journey together.
Delete"To pursue joy is to lose it. The only way to get it is to follow steadily the path of duty, without thinking of joy, and then, like sheep, it comes most surely unsought, and we 'being in the way,' the angel of God, bright-haired joy, is sure to meet us.: (Alexander MacLaren) What a great word for 2014, Elizabeth. I pray you will be SURELY met by it as you faithfully follow His leading this year.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Rebecca! You are a great encouragement to me.
DeleteI think I need a chalkboard in my dining room! As I've said before, you truly are an inspiration. Thank you for writing His heart and using your beautiful gifts for the Lord. Love you!
ReplyDeleteMy chalkboard is just a simple inexpensive one that I bought on Amazon, then painted the frame, but the stores are full of all sorts of more decorative ones now!
DeleteMay the Joy of Jesus descend upon you and yours in 2014.
