After Valentine's Day was over, I simply removed my wooden X and O from the mantel
and the galvanized hearts that were hung from the branch that hangs over the mirror window.
You can see my Valentine mantel here.
Then I draped the fabric pennant garland that I made last spring from the branch.
I added my owl vase that's sporting his "faux" succulent hairdo and called it good.
Easy peasy!
On another note, I found this little preserved boxwood wreath on sale at Target a few days ago.
I decided that this was the perfect place for it.
I'm kind of lovin' it!
Well, it's almost Friday, friends.
Have a HAPPY, HAPPY Friday
and
a BLESSED weekend!
I always love everything you do but I especially love the boxwood wreath around the cow head. How charming. I'm loving it too. Have a blessed date day and weekend. Love you.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't get to have date day. I was at the Faith and Culture Writer's Conference. I will message you on Facebook about it. :)
DeleteHappy Friday! Love the cow with the boxwood garland.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I like it too and have wanted a boxwood wreath for a long time.
DeleteYou know I love your style, Elizabeth.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dayle. I'm blessed that you like my style!
DeleteI really like the fabric pennant garland and the cute little owl vase. My mantle is a mess . . . empty because I just can't ever decide what to put there! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWell, the garland cost maybe $5 to make and the owl was at JoAnn's Fabric a long time ago for a few dollars. So, I know you can do this simply and inexpensively!
DeleteCute springy mantel! Love the banner.

Thanks so much, Mary Alice!
DeleteYou are so good with decorating. My mantel is always so blah.... it's also such a dark part of the room. I need some help. I hate to buy new stuff, but I'm beginning to think I might need some new decs to spruce it up.
ReplyDeleteWell, if you want me to come help you, say the word! Not that I consider myself a pro or anything!
DeleteI love it! I wish you would come help me at my house. I am getting the urge to do a little spring decorating myself.
ReplyDeleteDebbi
Well, maybe I could come help you sometime!
DeleteLove the changes you've made - and that wreath is in the perfect place!

Yes, spring makes me want some color in my house.
DeleteYour spring mantel is beautiful! I have an old window pane that I am going to use somewhere, and this gives me another good idea. Thanks for sharing! Pinning now. :)

Leslie, I love that you were inspired by my idea. I love finding decorating inspiration online!
DeleteSome day I will get a grand tour of your house, but for now I am pleased to stop by here to see a glimpse.
ReplyDeleteOh, that would be so great to have you come to the PNW sometime!
DeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteThere is beauty in simplicity for sure! I love what you've done- so fresh and springy. :) My Mom has the same white cow, I'll have to suggest the wreath around it situation. It looks great! I am in love with your little owl planter too. My houseplants have been dying lately... I guess its more important to keep my kids alive right now ha! :)
