He loves me?
He loves me not?
Yes, He loves me!
On the days when the blessings are obvious,
on the days when they are hard to see,
on the days I'm so self absorbed that I forget to notice,
God still loves me.
In that fact alone, there's more than enough reason to give thanks every day.
***********
Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks
piling up gratitude day by day
in my little black journal.
(and capturing some of my blessings via my camera or iPhone)

ReplyDeleteYes, the fact of God's love is the rock beneath my feet that keeps me steady.
DeleteI listed making biscuits like my grandmama taught me on my list this week. ;) Your girls will remember that. And there are sunflowers on my table from a photo shoot. Then I recognized Deidra in the shot with you! Great list.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I couldn't get the link to work from Ann's so I went back to my dashboard and brought you up there.
Thanks for telling me about the link. I had to delete it and re-enter it. It was fun, and messy, making biscuits with my granddaughters...and they were yummy, too!
DeleteI have never commented on your blog but have been reading for a long time now...I always come away calm and blessed - thanks for "being here". And I have watched your grand-kiddoes (and mine too!!) grow up so very fast! One look or hug from them is a reminder of just how very blessed we are. Your photos in this post are fantastic - aren't gerbers the happiest of flowers?!?! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDelete~ Karen
