I've had this little white cabinet sitting out in the garage in its unopened box for years.
I have two others just like it.
One hangs in the downstairs half bath/laundry room
and one hangs in the upstairs guest bath.
I think the third one was given to me by my oldest daughter who decided not to use it in her house.
Recently, I decided to bring it in and see how it would look in my kitchen.
I put a few small interesting things inside, like these old kitchen items that used to belong to Mama.
A stack of little ironstone saucers sits on the top shelf of the little cabinet.
( I had to include this happy lilac photo. The lilacs are just starting to bloom here!)
Here's the same type of cabinet hanging in the upstairs guest bathroom.
And here's the same type of cabinet in our downstairs half bath/laundry room.
One of my most cherished items is kept in the cabinet in the downstairs bath,
these little toy sailors from WWII.
They belonged to my Daddy.
Some seashells and other small items are also displayed in the cabinet.
Some French soaps and my Mama's old enamelware soap dish are another treasure kept in the little cabinet.
Have you pulled anything interesting out of your garage or storage area lately?

ReplyDeleteI remember the little white cabinet in your downstairs guest bathroom and I love the 'new' little cabinet in your kitchen. You've arranged things so well and it's fun to see things that are special to you. I've pulled a few small things out of my garage lately - but there is so much more. If only I had a bigger house I could use it all!

I could always go "shopping" in your garage for you! :)
DeleteI need one of those in my bathroom. No, nothing like that in my storage! ;)
ReplyDeleteThere must have been a big sale at one time on them for me to have two and my daughter to have bought one. I know they were from Target.
DeleteLove, love, love!! I have this small door my brother gave me. It's old and really small like tiny people could go through it. I want to do something creative with it. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that sounds like something fun to get creative with, Julie!
DeleteThat all look so clean and nice. I love the style.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Sammy!
DeleteI love your little cabinets and the little "treasures" you've chosen to display in them. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lynda! I get carried away with fun little "smalls" here and there around the house.
DeleteI am just seeing this, and I love it. Little white cabinets full of whimsy are my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie! Evidently they are my cup of tea as well since I have three of them!
DeleteVery cute and styled perfectly!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Sandi! You are a decorating pro, so this is a high compliment to me!
