Psalm 21:13...

I think more than anything in God's creation, the sea is what leaves me completely awestruck.
I don't know how you can look at the ocean and still doubt that there's a Creator.
There is a mighty and powerful and awe inspiring God Who made the sea, the land, the heavens and the earth.
That same mighty, powerful, awe inspiring God made and loves you.
Let's celebrate!

  2. Elizabeth, I so agree with you - the sea shouts of our Creator. I can remember being on a cruise & seeing only ocean for 2 days. It was amazing to me. Then to realize the vastness that was before me, above me & below me - I was brought to tears as I was overwhelmed by His greatness. Beautiful post! And I shared a post of yours today in my Random Five :) I always am blessed by your writing!

  3. Lake Superior gives that message also. I can sit on the shore of Lake Superior for an hour just drinking in the sound of the waves. God has created such beauty and power! Have a blessed weekend.

    1. That's exactly how I feel! Life just seems better by the sea, I guess because it reminds me that God is in control.

  6. Hi Elizabeth! My husband and I have talked about retirement, and I told him I have to be near water! I can just lose myself gazing at the horizon...I also think about all the life that is going on below the surface. Beauty created that I can't even see. That is amazing :)

  8. there is something beautiful and wild and comforting about the waves. Once a month I go to Lake Michigan and spend time on the beach. just sitting and listening and being. waves always remind me of his love - they just keep coming no matter what you might think about them, or even see them....they just keep coming.

  9. Well, we obviously are "watery" ladies. I love the ocean and I really love Lake Superior. Great to see the waters dealing with the waves and the rocky pieces. Love it. Thanks for sharing so beautifully as usual. AND thanks for treating ME beautifully only a week ago. What a treat I had!
