While I don't think this quote is the whole truth,
there certainly is some truth in it.
When I'm upset, frustrated, or angry, a good brisk walk or run,
or rolling up my sleeves and doing some cleaning, often helps to temper my mood.
I think that tears are healing and cleansing,
and sometimes you just need to have a good cry.
But my favorite of the three forms of saltwater is definitely the sea.
I can't look at the ocean without being reassured that the God Who created it
and Who controls the waves and the tide, is surely capable to take care of me and all that concerns me.
still following,
I've always been a fresh-water girl. Decidedly. Memorial Day through Labor Day, I'll be lakeside as much as possible. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have a house by water...the sea, a lake, a river, even a creek!
DeleteI learnt to swim in the salt water. Love the sea anyday but it has its dangers. Love your image and words.
ReplyDeleteWe were always taught to respect the sea, to realize both it's beauty and it's power. Rather like the Creator, right?
DeleteLovely soft tones here. I learnt to swim in the sea no swimming pools around when I was little
ReplyDeleteViv, thanks for your encouragement. The sea here is Oregon is much too cold for swimming, even in the summer.
DeleteI love to enjoy in sea and also have experimented the saltiness of the sea water!
ReplyDeleteI love the sea as well!
DeleteBeautiful soft B&W conversion and sea water cured my skin allergy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Barbara!
DeleteVery cool!!!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your encouragement of my photography attempts!
DeleteA beautiful view of the sea, and in black and white, the image has a more thoughtful tone - seeing lines and swirls and edges. The texture gives the impression of a foggy morning and the quote is a great compliment to this picture. But, as always, what I love most are your thoughts - yes, a good cry is sometimes all that is needed.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donna!
DeleteSometimes I wish I lived closer to the sea! This photo is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWe've traveled often to the mid-west, and while I love it, I can't imagine living where you can't spend the day by the sea.
Delete~I love this photo! I have some that look quite similar, never thought of black and white! I just might have to play around with them! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a black and white loving gal, but even in color this photo was mostly gray tones, so it worked well.
DeleteI've always felt that way about the ocean, too, Elizabeth. Lovely shot, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks, June! Your encouraging comments are a blessing.
DeleteKeep on swimming! Lol thank you for always showing us pictures from the sea! My happy place, not that I am near it. So I appreciate your pic's. God is good all the time. My backyard pool is the closest to water for me!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carol!
DeleteElizabeth, I'm with you on this one. Although I feel like I have cried a bucket these past few days due to a family situation, I know that God is working on it. A trip to the beach sure would have been a blessing, but I had to settle for tears this time :)
ReplyDeleteOh Debby, I pray for God to unravel whatever situation you and your family are going through and to bring you comfort and peace.
DeleteNicely done. And, you are right . . . the salt ocean water helps clear up poison ivy.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Earl!
DeleteI'd love to have a home by the sea - perhaps near you! Lately I've had the sweat and the tears - now it's time to head for the seashore!
ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
Ummm yes, for me the ocean and the mountains both.
