When I went on a little beach getaway with my granddaughter last week
I just had to pay a visit to my favorite "junk store".
I call it a junk store because there are no nicely decorated displays like in your typical antique store or mall.
However, there are probably more genuine antiques in this store than in those that are more esthetically pleasing.
You just have to find them in this packed to the brim with stuff store!
My grandkids and I call it "the Jesus junk store" because of the obvious Christian signs out front and also because they have worship music playing in the store.
It's an interesting enough place that my grandkids actually ask to go there with me!
Now, if only I had a big farmhouse kitchen with room enough to hang this white and red cabinet!
There's my granddaughter looking at the bookcases full of old books.
Look at all of that crystal!
Just about every kind of art you can think of!
Need an old trunk?
If you're ever on the Oregon Coast, specifically Lincoln City,
just head to the south part of town and keep your eyes open for some large Jesus signs.
I bet you'll like the "Jesus junk store" as much as I do.
It's almost Friday, friends.
Have a HAPPY, HAPPY Friday
and
a BLESSED weekend!
I brought home several milk-glass pieces from my mother-in-law's, and I thought of you.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope you post photos of your treasures!
DeleteOh Elizabeth, how much I wish I could join you and your granddaughters on the hunt for junk! Such a lovely shop - my favorite variety - the kind with a little of everything. So glad you are enjoying your summer. And . . . your banner is so creative - love the strawberries - can't wait to see what's next!
ReplyDeleteIf we ever meet face to face we can go junking together!
DeleteHappy Friday, Elizabeth. Always lovely your place here is. That looks like one wonderful shop. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear Beth. You are a blessing.
DeleteWow, I would really like that store. If I'm ever up that way I will definitely put in on my list of places to go.
ReplyDeleteIf you're ever up my way you better give me a call!
DeleteOh, these kinds of shops are absolutely my favorite!

Mine too, Alison!
DeleteLove stores like these, that is where you find the true treasures.
ReplyDeleteI love this place - the shop and the beach! Read while camping in the mountains but my phone wouldn't let me comment. I would love to go there with you sometime! We could have such fun looking at every single thing in that shop - it's so full of treasures!
