Easing into Autumn...

Two weeks from today it will officially be autumn.
While the days here in Portland, Oregon are still summer temps,
the mornings are cool enough for a light sweater.
Some of the trees are beginning to change colors.
Autumn is near.

I'm not ready for full October/November decor,
but, like our cool mornings, I added just a hint here and there that autumn is near.

Bits and bobs of nature are my favorite decorating accessory.

I add things from nature to things I already have and love,
like favorite ironstone finds in an old berry tote.

Are you getting ready for autumn?

still following,

    1. Thanks for taking time to comment, Patty! Re. fall decor, I do a bit here and a bit there and it changes with more pumpkins and such as we get into October. (But no Halloween stuff, I'm not into that.)

  2. so pretty! I can't jump into full-out fall decor yet either...this is perfect for our pre- fall season. Something peaceful about the neutral tones and the nature decor : )

  3. I love how you set everything up, especially the wooden tray that you used. I'm now going to be on the lookout for something like that, so I can have one of my own. :)

    1. They are so easy to find here in Oregon where the berry pickers use them. Hope you find one wherever you live!

  4. I love your bits of autumn. As for me? Yes, I am getting ready for it. I will not be putting out the pumpkins for a few weeks at least, but I have begun to take away the summer and pull out organic autumn touches in the house and just a wee few inorganic ones too.
