There's something to love about every season.
What's not to love about the colors of fall?

The rainy season has its drawbacks, but it has its benefits too.
What's not to love about cozy candlelight and crackly fires in the fireplace?

Homemade soups and stews,
yummy pumpkin recipes,
cozy sweaters and jeans worn with my favorite boots,
more things to love about the fall!

That we get to set the clock back this coming weekend,
meaning we gain an hour of sleep instead of losing one like we do in the spring,
is a pretty big plus about autumn.

So, what do you love about this season?
still following,
What I love about this season is that it's a wonderful time to begin again, to start over. Unlike the pressure of January with it's New Year's resolutions, fall ushers in a time of quiet reflection where change is often welcome. The colorful leaves in your beautiful photographs today remind me that this life is good and full of possibilities.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, life is good and full of possibilities. I love that.
DeleteWonderful Albert Schweitzer quote. You have pretty leaves. My favorites are the third and fifth pictures as they really show off the leaf colors.
ReplyDeleteThis week our temps aware in the 80's-again. At least the nights are cool now.
Abrianna, thanks so much for your kind comment. We are in our rainy season here, so when you are tired of your warm temps you can think of me!
DeleteThis is truly my most favourite time of the year. All those colours and the light. Love your images.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your encouragement, Viv!
DeleteBeautiful fall colors! I enjoy trying on my sweaters and jeans again, it is like getting 'new' clothes, and soup with good homemade (bought at the bakery) bread too. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYes, soup and bread is definitely a fall favorite!
DeleteElizabeth, You have captured the essence of autumn so beautifully! This is my favorite time of year because of the vibrant colors and the cooler temperatures. Early morning and evening is the best time to view the colorful mountain vistas!
ReplyDeleteAnne, each season has it's own beauty, but autumn is hard to beat!
DeleteYour photos are great< Elizabeth! I especially like the dark-red leaves of the chestnut! And soup. In this season I eat more soup :)
ReplyDeleteI agree! Soup is a great reason to embrace this change of seasons.
DeleteI've dreaded fall because I know what's coming afterwards....but this fall has been truly beautiful. We've had rain and wind in NE Oregon, but many of the trees are still hanging on to their colorful leaves. Today might be the big change, though....very cold last night and the wind has begun this morning. LOVE your leaves in the milk bottle! I found one tucked away recently...I'm not certain where it came from but it's old.
ReplyDeleteEvelyn, I love the winter until the holidays are over, but it just seems to last a bit too long after that!
DeleteBeautiful image! Love all of that color. I can't believe that it is time to turn the clocks again!
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the faster the seasons, the years, seem to zoom by!
DeleteHow nice to see the different takes on this, And the bottle makes it special.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for taking time to come by!
DeleteIt's my very favorite time of the year! Being a redhead, I just love all the colors. I usually dress in these colors. As always, your pics are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Julie!
DeleteRomantic and lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Sue!
DeleteBeautiful images ! I love the Fall, the crisp air and wonderful light, especially after the heat of our summer :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for coming by, Caz!
DeleteLovely images. Beautiful leaves against your lovely textured backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Marilyn!
DeleteThere's sort of a restful feeling about Autumn that I love. But mostly, I think I just love the seasonal change. By the time the next one rolls around, I'm ready. The only season that really wears on me is Winter. The cold mostly. Spring is always most welcome! Your images are lovely, as always, Elizabeth. Have a blessed week!
ReplyDeleteJune, I agree with you about winter...after the holidays it just seems to go on and on, as though it's longer than the other seasons.
DeleteGorgeous series! I think my favourite is the second one - love the blur on the vase!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jill! I really appreciate your encouragement!
DeleteI love the colors of autumn, which you've captured so well! And what a creative vase -- an antique milk bottle. Made me smile :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Sharon!
