It's my granddaughter's 6th birthday today!
My daughter had a horrible week with both her and our granddaughter having the flu,
and then my daughter broke a tooth,
which is requiring a root canal.
After the week she had, I volunteered to host our granddaughter's birthday party for her.
So, it's been a full, busy, tiring, but happy Sunday.
All that to say, I'm sure you can understand if I'm not too wordy tonight.
Let's just dive right in to my weekly gratitude list.
Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks
piling up gratitude day by day
in my little green journal.
(and capturing some of my blessings via my camera or iPhone)

ReplyDeleteThat's why I call my grandson Mr Funny!
DeleteGrr. Wasn't signed in to blogger so it zapped my comment! Will try to remember:
ReplyDeleteSorry about the illness and tooth! Happy Birthday….adorable cupcakes! Chipotle is our favorite "fast food" as well. They do a great job of making it truly gluten free. We make a "fake" chipotle with McCormick's Grill Mates in the Chipotle and roasted garlic flavor(careful, some of the others have sulfites). We use a blend of canola and olive oil, mixed with the seasoning, and marinate for a while. We grill up the chicken and then slice and serve on Missoni corn tortillas that we find at Target. (wish we could find GF, GMO free!). It's sooooo good! I use the leftover chicken in a salad the next day. We are on vacation this week, so off to clean and organize!
I make homemade Chipotle burrito bowls too, but I didn't know about that seasoning! Thanks! Have a good week off!
DeleteGreat List, Elizabeth. You have a busy but fulfilling life. Love to read your gratitudes.

ReplyDeleteGOD BLESS!
Thank you, Sharon!
DeleteHi Elizabeth! You were so kind to step in for your poor daughter. A cracked tooth on top of the flu? Ugh. Birthdays are such an exciting event for the littles, I know you were greatly appreciated. (Love the Frozen theme too!)
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you have 'date days' with your husband! That's such a great idea. The photo of the fog was really capturing the day for me!
Blessings,
Ceil
Ceil, there's something about the fog that I love as well.
DeleteChecking in a bit late this week - lots of activities going on. Good things! I thought of your youngest daughter on Valentine's Day - her first with her soon-to-be hubby! So many things to be thankful for. You always inspire and challenge me, dear friend. I love coming here to see what you have to share.
