And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].
Colossians 3:15 Amplified Bible
It's a choice.
I need to remember this.
Stress or tension, worry or anxiety, are not the boss of me.
I'm in charge of what I let rule my mind and thoughts,
and I choose God's peace!

ReplyDeleteThank you for this gentle reminder that we all need to remember & live by. As I grow in my walk with Him, I am trying to do this in my life. I believe He knew that I need to be reminded of this today. Blessings to you!
I need to be reminded, too. It's a frequent challenge and a learning, failing, and getting back up, and choosing peace once again type of thing for me.
DeleteI choose His peace too. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic weekend!
Thank you so much, Lux. You have a blessed Sunday tomorrow!
DeleteAmen! And your pictures......oh, wow, just gorgeous! They bring peaceful thoughts.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Julie!
DeleteGod's peace, given to us, truly surpasses all understanding. I have struggled with seeking His peace first in my life. But through Him we are conquerors!!
ReplyDeleteAnn, look up John 14:27 in the Amplified Bible. It's been a lifesaving verse for me. I often say it aloud or pray it when I need to live in God's peace.
DeleteWOW, did I need this today...right this very minute! Thank you for always sharing TRUTH with us! Have a wonderful weekend! blessings, cindy~
ReplyDeleteOh, me too, Cindy! I have so much to do and I begin to feel anxious about it all, so I'm preaching to myself, too!
DeleteYour photograph is a perfect representation of God's peace.....
ReplyDeleteNancy, in photography and editing my photos I find there's peace, because I'm focusing on whatsoever things are lovely.
DeletePeaceful pink rose - so beautiful - choose peace - your photo exudes it - gives hope for it! Shalom, Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteThe power of choice is ours even about our thoughts. Awesome post !

I ned Christ's peace today and everyday. I have several stressful weeks ahead and I am letting my mind take over instead of allowing Christ's peace to take up residence and calm. Blessed you joined us at The Weekend Brew.
ReplyDeleteSo. Good. Thank you for this reminder that I'm always needing. Have a blessed day Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteLeslie
As usual, good sharing, good explaining, goodness for peace. If you and I can talk in the not-distant future, I've got a lot on my heart. Thank you so much. Bless you, Dear.
