Judging by the pile of shoes on my bedroom floor that have yet to make it into my suitcase,
I have difficulties narrowing down my choice of footwear for five days away.
Sometimes I'm that way with the way I use my time.
Just like I want to pack all of my favorite shoes in order to keep my options open in spite of limited luggage space,
I prefer to not have to say no to some things even when my time is limited.
This week I'm saying no to some things, so I can make room for some other things.
Tonight I'm doing a quick gratitude post so I can finish packing.
This week I won't be online often or blogging so I can spend five days at the International House of Prayer with some of the ladies from our church.
I think spending Holy Week in prayer and the Word is going to be wonderful,
and I think spending it will some of the ladies from our church will be fantastic.
(And that photo above has absolutely nothing to do with this post except it's pretty.)

Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks
piling up gratitude day by day
in my little green journal.
(and capturing some of my blessings via my camera or iPhone)

ReplyDeleteI know your experience will be holy and wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI understand the packing dilemma. I find that when I'm going away, I tend to do ALL my washing. Then I overpack because everything is clean all at the same time! Shoes? Don't even get me started...
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time, Elizabeth. Your week sounds wonderful, and I can't wait to hear all about it.
GOD BLESS!
So glad you're getting to go! Take pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteI read that "worship and massage" Wouldn't THAT be great?! ;-) Have a great week!
