We sing the words, "God bless America", but God cannot bless a country that has turned its back on Him.
The change doesn't start with those "especially wicked sinners" that we tend to point our fingers at.
It starts with us, those of us who wear the label "Christian", those who claim to follow Him.
He showed us clearly what we must do-
now it's up to us.
still following,
Also happily linking up with the lovely Lisha Epperson

The wisdom in your *quiet* words is perfect.
ReplyDeleteMay God start a revival, and may it begin in our own hearts...
GOD BLESS!
Yes! Do Your work in me, Lord!
DeleteYep, it starts with us.
ReplyDeleteYes, MB! Thank you so much for hanging out here at my little place on the web.
DeleteIt starts with us... seeking His presence... Hugs to you, friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the blessing you are to so many of us Sandra!
DeleteYes, we need to look inwards & cleanse our hearts... Blessings to your week, Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteI hope your week is blessed, too, Nina! Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteElizabeth,
ReplyDeleteThis is so true. If we had unity in Christ how much God would be pleased. If we would stop yelling, bickering, saying slanderous words, He would smile. If we would seek Him in all we do rather than go with emotions and "rules". Praying for those in authority is different than put downs. Jesus didn't tell Rome how to lead but people how to follow Him.
Blessings,
Janis
It's definitely challenging to keep the heart free of offense towards our government and judicial system when they are leading our nation astray, but as believers our job is to pray for them. As Americans, our job is to vote and work for change.
DeleteAmen.
ReplyDeleteIn the simpliciity, there is such beauty.
Thank you so much!
DeleteCome Lord Jesus! Beautiful thoughts today! Stopping by from Reflect. Http://janncobb.com
ReplyDeleteJann, my heart is longing to get out of this mess, too! But, I think the Father has perfect timing and is keeping us here to make a difference. Thanks so much for coming by!
DeleteSo true! And I love how you combined "God Bless America" with the Scripture.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Kym!
