In more than one scripture, God compares Himself to an eagle. Is there anything more majestic than an eagle soaring overhead? How tender is the thought of that same strong, majestic eagle sheltering one of his little ones under his wings. I love that imagery of the love our Father God has for us. Psalm 91:4, however, doesn't finish with that thought.(Join me for the rest of this post on Sunday, August 28th, at Woman to Woman Ministries where each Sunday I share a bit of Sunday Soul Food!)

As you wrote on your full post, "satan's lies are no match for the powerful truth of God's Word." Yes, yes, Amen, Amen!
ReplyDeleteYes Elizabeth it is impossible to be victorious without the Sword which is the Word.
ReplyDeleteMany Blessings to you
Amen, Amen! :)
ReplyDeleteOne of the most beautiful things I have ever seen happened when my family was taking a Jeep ride up in the mountains of Colorado. After a very bumpy ride up a rock-strewn trail, we burst out upon a wide, green, snow-dappled valley high up in the mountains. And all of a sudden, a golden eagle soared across that valley. It was breathtaking, and I'll never forget it.
ReplyDeleteYes, it reminded me of the strong wings of God, and the way He carries us on his pinion feathers, and teaches us how to soar.
GOD BLESS!
This is so timely. Just reading it now. We are in the 'heat' of battle with my dear, little mother's dementia. Truth is hard for her to sort out and many untruths become reality. Your words are a great reminder that I needed today. I am going to pray parts of them over my sweet mother.
