If there's one thing I've learned in the seven years that I've been keeping a gratitude journal, it's that God is not stingy. He is lavishly generous, heaping gift upon gift in my life. I just wish I'd taken the time to notice, to count my blessings, to write them down, decades ago. What a wonderful record I could have had of His steadfast love and watchful care through all of the joys and challenges of the early years of our marriage and of raising our girls. At the same time, I'm so glad that it's never too late to start a good habit!

Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks
piling up gratitude day by day
in my journal.
