Psalm 91 is one of my husband's favorite chapters in the Bible. He memorized it as a young boy when he was struggling with fear. When I first started dating him, the Lord spoke specifically to me from Psalm 91 though at that time I had no idea of the significance of this passage to him.
Right now my pastor husband is preaching a series of messages on this psalm. One of the things he mentioned is how the Psalmist, in verse one, declares that he is dwelling, abiding under the shadow of the Almighty. Then immediately in the following verse he begins to declare who God is. He speaks out that God is his Refuge and His Fortress, the one he leans on, relies on and in Whom he confidently trusts. The point is that what we say affects where we abide.(Join me for the rest of this post on Sunday, January 22nd, at Woman to Woman Ministries where each Sunday I share a bit of Sunday Soul Food!)
