Hi All!
It's that time of the year when my Friday Favs are all about decking the halls for Christmas!
Last week, I showed you my Christmas mantel.
Today, I'm showing you the rest of the living room.
Welcome!
The antique trunk that serves as our coffee table is topped with an antique dough bowl filled with pinecones, copper colored jingle bells and Shiny Brite ornaments.
"Rudolph" is wearing some Christmas bling.
Our "faux" tree sits front and center to the window.
(The blinds are down because it is a BRIGHT, sunshiny, albeit cold day in the Pacific Northwest. Hallelujah!)
We always had real trees until we moved to this house.
Here, the best place for the tree is right over a heating vent, so "faux" trees are our new normal.
I can't say I miss the mess of cleaning up all of those fir tree needles!
Some decorative shelves are hung near my husband's favorite chair.
As you can see, copper-y accents are found here as well as on the mantel.
Below, a little tree sits in a blue and white transferware bowl next to a side chair
that can easily be moved wherever an extra seat is needed.
In case you can't tell from the photos, the leather couch, chair, and ottoman are navy blue leather
and the drapes are navy blue and white.
At times it's hard to tell in photos that they are not black and white.
Thank you for joining me today!
Next week I'll show you what's up in the kitchen and dining room.
It's almost Friday, friends!
Have a HAPPY, HAPPY Friday
and a safe and BLESSED weekend!

Oh, so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Julie!
DeleteIt's beautiful! I spend more time scrolling through Instagram than on actual blogs anymore and I had seen a couple of your posts. Love the tree in front of the window!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure where I'm supposed to comment about an extra $420 bucks but I would use it to pay down my hospital bill.
I am hooked on Instagram as well! Paying down your hospital bill would be a huge blessing, I am sure!
DeleteSuch an inviting room! I love your little trees and touches of greenery! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, June!
DeleteSo Pretty Elizabeth. We switched long time ago to faux tree. I thought about a cut one this year, but I really don't want the risk of fire since we put it up earlier than years past and also the mess. I love the touch of the little truck. The grandson left a yellow one here that he no longer wants so I may take your idea and do something with it. I was going to pitch it, but may paint it and fix up for the season. Thanks. Enjoyed a peek into your Christmas tidings. :)

If you transform your grandson's truck, I hope you send me a photo!
DeleteI love the cozy feel of your living room at Christmas. So many good ideas. I may have to 'borrow' a few for my home!
