This time of year, I can't resist pruning a few branches from the crabapple tree in the vacant lot near our house. A bouquet of crabapple branches is a reminder to me that summer is quickly fading and autumn is on the horizon.
The crabapple bouquet is set atop the little cabinet that sits next to my cozy chair in our kitchen nook. Every morning I light the soy tealights in my glassybaby votive holders and have my morning quiet time in this spot.
A sweet IG friend who lives in the northern part of our state, (I live on the southern border), posted a photo of a cute little plant pot that she keeps her matches in. I loved her idea so much that I ordered one as well!
I enjoyed playing with my camera and my 40mm prime lens to capture these photos. It's been too long since I've played with my "big camera."
still following,
It's been years since I've seen crabapples. Wonder where they all got to?
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining this week's linkup at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2019/08/pass-jelly.html. A new one starts tomorrow!
There's a vacant lot near our house with this one lone crabapple tree that I forage branches from each year.
DeleteThat is beautiful. I’m going to be on the look out for a crab apple tree now. My new apartment is rather tiny though so I’m not sure where I’ll put them.
ReplyDeleteI love foraged bouquets!
