Today tens of thousands of people gathered in Washington DC for Prayer March 2020. The event was not a protest or a political rally. The gathering was simply to pray for our nation. I was able to livestream the event and I prayed along in agreement with the various people who led in prayer. There were prayers of confession of our sins as a nation and repentance for our wrongdoing as well as intercession based on seven prayer points. I thought the prayer points were so good that I am reposting them here from the prayer march website. I believe that God heard the prayers that were prayed today but I also believe that God wants to hear our earnest, heartfelt, continued prayers and will respond in tremendous and dynamic ways. Let's turn our worry and anxiety about the condition of our nation into prayer. I believe that God will hear us and will heal our land. (Join me for the rest of this post on Sunday, September 27th at Woman to Woman Ministries, where each Sunday I share a bit of Sunday Soul Food!)

Earnest, Heartfelt, Continued Prayer
Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].

The ministry of prayer is so often overlooked and under valued. I am grateful we are still free to gather for prayer.
