To the Weary, Weak and Wounded

“...Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!”Hebrews‬ ‭12:1-3‬ ‭MSG‬‬

To you who are weak and weary in well doing. To you who have been wounded in the good fight of faith. It’s ok to be gut level honest with God.  (Join me for the rest of this post on Sunday, September 20th  aWoman to Woman Ministries, where each Sunday I share a bit of Sunday Soul Food!)

  1. As I've read Jesus' story, my human-ness has so much compassion for him. As the hunted baby, then the hunted man who stands for God's beliefs and trying to make others see what they won't. But then, comes the glory moment with the empty tomb, and the understanding is brought home. Praying we all have our glory moment of running through the gates of Heaven and into the arms of Jesus so we can say 'Thank You'.

  2. Yes! That thought keeps me going through the difficult seasons, as I am sure it does you as well.
